Lochaber has a vibrant and diverse community transport sector, which includes community mini buses, the Lochaber Community Car Scheme and community ferries. All community transport within Lochaber is operated and managed by local independent community volunteers, groups or associations.

Lochaber Community Car Scheme offers transport, using volunteer drivers in their own cars. Lochaber Community Car Scheme aims to help residents within the Lochaber area who would otherwise be unable to make use of health and social facilities.
There are several community mini buses within the Lochaber area available for hire to community groups
Lochaber Community Ferry Services
The Sound of Mull Transport group is a social enterprise run by volunteers to provide a passenger ferry service between Drimnin and Tobermory.
