WHO
ARE WE?
Lochaber Transport Forum aims to resolve transport problems and
address transport issues within the Lochaber Area. Membership is
free and open to any group, organisation or individual with an interest
in any aspect of transport.
Lochaber
Transport Forum Members include:
Highland Council, Lochaber
Enterprise, Public Transport Operators Community Transport
Groups and Associations, The Tourist Office, Voluntary Organisations,
Statutory Organisations, Private Transport Companies, Haulage
and Freight
Transport Companies, and Interested Individuals.
WHAT
DO WE DO?
Lochaber Transport Forum working together with local communities,
transport operators and Highland Council seeks solutions to transport
problems within the Lochaber area.
Lochaber Transport
Forum meets every 3 - 4 months to discuss transport issues and problems
raised by Forum members or brought to the attention of the Forum
by the public. Minutes of meetings are published on the web site
HOW
CAN WE HELP YOU?
Lochaber Transport Forum with funding from the Highland
Council and The Scottish
Executive employs a full time transport development worker
to promote the use of public transport to promote and develop
community transport and help to assess transport needs within the
Lochaber Area. The transport development worker works with community
groups, voluntary organisations, transport operators and Highland
Council to help find appropriate solutions to transport problems
within the Lochaber Area.
